In addition to your exercise--no, you cannot eat these foods and sit and wait for your waistline to disappear--you should add these foods to your diet to help trim your belly fat.

Chilie Peppers
Dairy Products
Green Tea
Konjac Root Fiber
Mulberry Leaves

Water + You = Healthy

Do you drink enough water?  Probably not.  I know I don't.  The fact is, though, you NEED it!  Water consumption is very important to the proper functioning of your body.
If you are on a goal toward health, fitness, weight loss, and feeling good you will not make that goal without drinking lots and lots of water.

Your body is made up of mostly water.  It doesn't just stay there either.  It is constantly coming out in your day to day functions.  You sweat, you may cry, you urinate, if your sick you are throwing up, you are sneezing.  That little bit of water you may think is insignificant is really alot!  The main thing you need to remember is it needs to be put back in you just like you have to put gas in cars to make them go.

A few things you need to know and may not even think about:
  • Water carries oxygen to your cells.  What?  Did you think it floated through you?
  • Water regulates your body temperature.
  • Weight loss will speed up if you increase your water intake.  Sometimes your stomach mistakes thirst for hunger.  Water will leave your body so much quicker than food will break down.  So next time you want a tiny little bitty snack---drink some water.
  • Water helps relieve constipation.  I won't go into detail here just think of adding water to dirt....yeah.  It will move.
  • Water decreases the risk of bladder cancer, colon cancer, and breast cancer.  If you are drinking lots of water and flushing out your system perfectly, it makes sense that it would be a little harder for diseases to take root.  I'm not saying it won't happen, I'm just saying it DECREASES the risk.
  • Drinking water reduces back and joint pain.  Water protects joints so when there is a drought of course those joints will ache!
  • Water flushes out your skin!  Young people especially listen, if you have acne drinking lots of water will help!  I know, I had terrible acne when I was younger.  I still have flare ups now and I know when I haven't been drinking enough.  It flushes out the junk that's in your pores.  I didn't say it would get rid of it....I just said it helps.
  • Drinking water  will help you liven up when you are a little tired in the middle of the day.  Mild dehydration is one of the most common causes of daytime fatigue.
  • There are NO CALORIES in water!  Good one here!
So, are you drinking water yet?   I thought you would get right up and get you a glass!

Hydrate guys, you will feel so much better!

Burpee Day

100 Burpee Challenge

100 Burpee Challenge!

You CAN do this! It may take an hour but I have seen people do 100 of these that I never thought possible.  This is your challenge for today!

  • Begin in a squat position with hands on the floor in front of you
  • Jump your feet back to a push up position
  • Immediately return your feet to squat position
  • Leap up as high as possible from squat position (if you leap high enough you may leap out of this torture.---I know this is what you will be thinking!)
Do these as fast as you can in sets of about 12 (since it is 2012) with a one minute rest in between.

You will be working your whole entire body today!  Cardio is the main focus because with just a few your heart rate will be ridiculous! You are going to be a fat burning machine!!   You will also be working your chest, arms, front deltoids, thighs, hamstrings and abs.

***Start your timer or clock at the beginning and leave me a comment on how many minutes/hours it took you to complete this challenge.  IF YOU DON'T GET YOUR 100 YOU ARE ONLY CHEATING YOURSELF!

Have a great day and FINISH STRONG!
